NEW CHANCES

Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for August 21st.

Topic: PRAYER. Key: OPPORTUNITY.

Message of the day: Every opportunity is a window for spiritual growth and the manifestation of God's will.

Based on the biblical verse from JEREMIAH 29:11 which says: For I know the plans I have for you, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Teaching: Through new opportunities, God molds us and guides us toward a greater purpose.

Biblical Experience: Joseph, sold by his brothers, found new opportunities in Egypt that eventually allowed him to save his family, demonstrating divine transformation.

Recent Story: Flat, a father who returns to college after raising his children, finds new opportunities for growth that lead him to fulfill old interests and passions.

Prayer: God, open my eyes to the opportunities that you present each day, that with each one I may draw closer to your divine purpose.

Action: Actively seek opportunities for growth and service, allowing God to use each new possibility to shape your heart and life.

Reflection: Reflect on how each new opportunity can be a blessing in disguise, designed to bring you closer to God's loving, eternal plans.

Let's study the following two Bible Concordances in detail to expand on this concept:

PROVERBS 16:9

The heart of man traces its path, but the Lord directs its steps.

ISAIAH 43:19

Behold, I am doing a new thing; it will soon come to light; Don't you know? Again I will make my way in the wilderness, and rivers in the wilderness.

Spiritual Echo:

Each new opportunity is an invitation to grow and allow God to work in our lives. Even what seems like an unexpected turn can become a path toward His purpose. Second chances remind us that nothing is lost when we trust in His plans of hope and future. Every day brings possibilities that shape our hearts and draw us closer to His will. In those opportunities, we discover hidden blessings and the assurance that God is guiding our steps.

God blesses us today and always.
